For example, from 14.5V, a six 2.2V LED array in series, with a 86 ohm, quarter watt resistor inline. If I want to line up ten of these arrays, can i use just ONE big chunky resistor in line with the ten arrays?

If not, why not?

  1. John is quite correct so there's no point in me, or anyone else, rewriting what he has told you.

  2. Not a good idea.  If you do it your way, you have no clue how much current will go through each 'leg'.  The LED's are not equal.  Just place a resistor for each parallel array.  If your concerned with space, then use a SIP package resistor array
