LEGAL ADVICE NEEDED - EMPLYMENT - EMPLOYER NOT PAYING EMPLOYEES?

NEED LEGAL ADVICE-HELP: If a person works for a small to moderate sized private company that is a member of the BBB and in a post secondary school (vocatationa0), and the company refuses to hand out paychecks or release any pay to any of it's workers and does NOT offer lay-off's to allow workers to colect unemplyment, what can be done legally and also, what would you do? Not showing yp for work would only hurtthe students. The reason given in lack of money due to poor cashflow. The CEO lives out of state and keeps giving excuse after excise to the school's CFO and director as well as the epmployees. For many, this is the THIRD payroll period where checks were not issued or honored if issued.
