Question:

LG Chocolate water damage?

I have recently dropped my lg chocolate in the sink it was completely submerged in the water for maybe 4 seconds before i got it out. After getting it out of the water it started to open stuff up by itself and vibrating a lot. So i took the battery out and it is now sitting in my room with a fan on it. Does anybody know how i can fix it? I've heard you can put it in a rice box to remove moisture but i don't know if this is safe or not.

  1. My best advice to you would be to let it be for a full day or two. Try the rice. It won't harm the phone. If that doesn't work, I have seen times where simply putting a new battery in the phone will have the phone working like new. Don't try to turn it on again for at least a full day though.

  2. You can use a hairdryer on it.  That's what's supposed to work.  My Dad's girlfriend's baby slobbered on my phone so she put it in the oven and forgot about it....so I don't recommend that.  A fan won't do much because you really need heat.  My Mom dropped my Samsung Juke in a cup of steaming hot coffee and it still works just fine.  Then once I had a cheap Nokia and I dropped it in the toilet and it never worked again.  I guess it all depends on the phone.  That's why insurance is a nice thing.=]
