LG DR275 DVD recorder color look washed out?

when i hook my "LG DR275" DVD recorder to TV the color seem washen up , when i hook the receiver to the TV directly the color and image quality return to normal .

i also changed the rec mode from SP to XP but it didn't fix it .

  1. I have the same problem as well.. my plasma tv looks ok before connecting the DVD-recorder. No matter how I tweak the settings on the tv it's still the same. Could it be the cable? Would using a better quality cable help?
