LG DVD RW drive not detecting DVD/CD

Hi,
I have a LG GSA-4082B DVD RW drive attached to my Desktop. It had been working fine until recently it stopped detecting any DVD/CD inserted into the drive. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but it did not work. I am unable to read or write a DVD/CD. Could you please help me troubleshoot this?
