LG Dare Data Charges????

i have the LG dare WITHOUT the data usage plan. im not paying an extra 30$ a month to use the internet, navigation, vcast or whatever. i go into MyVerizon and check my data usage and it keeps going up!! even when im NEVER using html browser or navigation or anything. WHY?!?!?!

The VCast for data and internet is only $15...just to clarify.

As for your charges, it could be textx or picture messaging. Your listed useage may differ from your charged useage. I would suggest waiting for a bill and see if they outline charged useage and if so, cann verizon AFTER getting the bill so they can advise as to what may have cost you.

The data plan for the Dare is called the V CAST V-Pack and is $15 per month and includes unlimited data for internet, V CAST browsing, and more.

Possible causes are:

*Accidentally opening web browser

*Using Media Center (downloading new apps, ringtones, etc)

*Using Mobile IM

Sending/receiving picture/video messages will not incur any extra charges (except per message fees or a monthly fee). Messages are no longer linked to data with the newer Verizon Wireless plans.

Are you signed in to Mobile Instant Messenger?  

I would call Verizon and have them tell what is specifically incurring the Data charges on your device.

The data chargers for Verizon are for any type of browsing Get It Now (looking for ringtones) mobile web, and HTML browsing. For $15 you can add the VCAST pak and get unlimited browsing and $9.99 VZ Navigator.
