My LG Dehumidifier is only 2 years old. It worked okay last year, but this year, when the temp warmed up enough to run it, I turned it on.The unit ices up regularly, even though the temperature in the basement is well over 65 degrees (I have a thermometer down there to check).Even though the unit is set to take the moisture out of the air down to 40 or 45%, it consistently reads that there is between 65% and 70% humidity in the basement air, and the air feels damp. The unit runs all day and night and only deposits about 1/2 inch of water in the bucket. In the past 2 days, water has started forming on the top of the unit, and the casing of the unit feels extremely warm on the top sides and top back of the unit, like something is overheating/burning inside. I have shut it off for safety reasons, to prevent a fire from occurring.Does anybody have any solutions or things that I can check? Thanks.
