LG HD television - cannot select Av channels?

I have a 37" LG HD television, and am finding it impossible to select an AV channel on it, there seems to be no way to change to an AV chanel via the menu and pressing the buttons marked 'DVD' or 'Video' etc doesn't do anything. Can anyone please help?

Use the 'INPUT' button on the remote (assuming that your LG remote is the same as mine). Then you can select the AV channel from the Input menu.
