LG High Def LCD TV Help plzz?

i just bought a 42" LG, LCD tv. it says that it is a certified HD tv but all my channels have been in Standerd Def. any one know how to make it high definition?? 10pts up 4 grabs

To get high definition it needs to come from somewhere. TV's don't just magically make all TV high definition.

First you need to call your cable provider and buy a subscription to their high def channels. They will need to sell you a "Digital Box" for probably about $350 depending on where you are. Then you will have to run component (red, blue and green rca) cables or HDMI cable to your TV.

Once this is hooked up you will have about 30 high def channels to choose from depending on your cable provider.
