LG LFD790 installed with cable

I can get the LG LFD790 to work with DVD's, but not with my cable box and plazma. I have a comcast dvr cable receiver connected to my Samsung plazma via the hdmi cable. How do I get this so I can use the LG LFD790 home theater system with both dvd's and cable tv?
