LG VX5400 cell phone power problem

Question

My phone powers down on its own, even when fully charged. I have been having this problem for a few days. For awhile it was turning itself off almost instantly. Last night I recharged it and it stayed on for a couple of hours before I went to bed, but by the time I got up this morning it had turned itself off again. (It is still showing the battery as fully charged.)
