LG model LHT764 - Remote Control bug? Fixable?

Hi, I have an LG 5 speaker surround sound system, model number LHT764. The remote stopped functioning a few weeks after setting up the system. LG sent me a replacement, still the system will not respond to the remote. Anybody have a technical tip that may help my situation?

The remote may be OK, but looks like the problem may be with the IR sensor in your Sound system. Since it is a new system, LG should repair it under warranty.
