LHASA APSO HELP???????????

HI I HAVE A BOY LHASA APSO. HES 2

AND WHEN HES ON THE SOFA AT NIGHT, WHEN SOMEONE ETRIES TO MOVE HIM, HES GROWLS AND SNAPS. HES GREATLY LOVED AND SOILT. AND GETS HIS WALKS EVERY DAY.

PLEASE CAN YOU HELP.

If it was my dog i would stop it from being on the couch and get it a nice comfy bed it sounds like he thinks it Territorial i have 3 dogs an they fight over there beds all the time so he need a place of his own, i would never allow my dog to growl snap at me you need to show him that your the boss. good luck

I have a three year old male daschund that is the same way.  Nobody in the family can move him.  He growls and barks and acts like he is going to bite.  We just laugh at him and call him moody.  I don't let anyone mess with him.  I am the one that usually makes him move.  Some dogs are just funny that way.  Probably just wants to be left alone.  Just give it some space and try not to  force it to move.  Teach it to move when you tell it to.

fist of all don't try to pick him up and move him cuz he wont learn anything order him to move, show him ur the boss if he still doesn't move give him a little tape with ur hand not to hurt him just to show him ur the boss,  is he tries to snap say NO in a firm voice, don't b scared cuz h**l fell it. good luck

Because you love him so much , you probably let him get away with things and he feels like he has a superiors status ,  he thinks he is over you .I had this behaviour with a springer spaniel , you just have to be firm with him and dont give in they soon learn .Dogs dont like being told off so make sure your voice firm as well. good luck

Attach a 4 foot leash to his strap collar or harness.  When you want him to move, you can pick up the leash to make him move safely.  When you move him praise him. so he understands what you want.  You might want to consider giving him his own place to lay like a dog bed so that you don't have to continually move him about too.
