google this : LHC countdown and then click on " Cashed" for the first google result !

Be careful where you get your news. You have chosen a private website which is obviously understaffed, and "cashed" webpages are almost always out of date. Search Yahoo!'s news section for "LHC".

The latest announcement says the first particle beam in LHC will occur on Sep. 10.
