2 nights ago there was a thunderstorm.....and we had a lot of people over b/c of a birthday.

so a lot of lights were on all over the house.

All of a sudden...the WHOLE house is shaking like crazy while the lightening struck. it was a shake that could make you fall over.....(my little sister fell over but shes small but yeah) the whole floor was strongly shaking.

I was freaked.

haha even the adults were screaming.

but it lasted for about 5 seconds.

but why does that happen??

someone told me it happened b/c the lights were on in my house.

is that true?

  1. Most of that depends on how near the lightning is. Lightning  creates so much heat that the air actually explodes.

  2. no.  We have a lot of thunderstorm (crazy lightnings too) but our house never shook like that.  Could it be that you have a minor earthquake?   -- just like an after shock or something.  Why not go on the internet and check if you did have an earthquake because I have seen a lightning struck near our house and I can honestly say there was no "shaking" and all of the lights in our house was turned on.l

  3. wow

  4. I dont think so..
