Hi,I recently got Restylane done to my lips to add fullness...It has been about a month and I noticed my top lip has already went down to normal and my bottom is going back...I had some hard ball like things in my top lip from the restylane..

In the future what is a good injectable to use? I want something that lasts about a year or so...

Thanks!

  1. the ball like things are common with hyalronic acid injections and should be pressed smoothly with your fingertips to conform to lips. Restylane lasts not very long at all in the lips...it is approved for the smile lines as a lasting filler (the nasal labial folds)

YOure best bet for a long lasting filler is SCULPTRA lasting a year - 2 years , it is expensive but i have seen wonderful resu;lts with it. It is a poly lactic acid  and has long results , Also you might want to try JUvederm( another hylaronic filler) which can be put into lips and may last a bit longer but not a year or even close to it.

  2. I don't think there is a FDA approved filler that can guarantee you a year.

Metacril is being used in Costa Rica with very good long term lasting power....  And btw before you or anyone else go to thinking that CR would a third world treatment plan.  Their quality of medical care ranks higher than the USA!
