Vital half-centuries by Sami Aslam, Imam-ul-Haq, and Umar Waheed, followed by an impressive 4-wicket haul by Azizullah, enabled the Pakistan Under-19s to secure a place in the tournament final after claiming a massive 151-run victory over the Afghanistan
Under-19s in the first semi-final, played at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur today on June 28.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Pakistan posted a daunting total of 296 at the expense of 3 wickets, courtesy Aslam (77),Imam-ul-Haq (69), and Waheed (77).
The formidable 297-run chase the Pakistan U-19s set up for them proved too high a target, and the Afghan batting order was no match for the opposition’s bowlers, who refused to let them settle in at the crease.
The opening stand between wicketkeeper batsman Afsar http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Javed-Ahmadi-c66518 (13) was worth only 10 runs, after which the former found himself dismissed by Ehsan Adil in the very first over. The 19-year-old right-armer struck again in the 3rd
over, claiming the wicket of the Afghan skipper, with the catches in both dismissals having been taken by Imam-ul-Haq.

off the remainder of the batting order with ease.
