The explosive West Indian batsman was not initially a part of the lucrative league this year, but was hired by RCB as a replacement for injured, Dirk Nannes.
Gayle made his IPL4 debut against KKR and announced his arrival with a blistering ton, which guided the team to an easy victory.
He scored an unbeaten 102 runs off just 55 balls with the help of 10 fours and seven massive sixes and his side won the match by nine wickets and 11 balls remaining.

Both RCB and KKR are currently placed at third and fourth in the pool respectively. They have not yet confirmed a spot in the play-offs and today’s game will be crucial for both teams.
