England have posted a solid total of 298 runs against India in the third One Day International (ODI) of the five match series at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 on Thursday, October 20, 2011.
The highlight of the innings was a splendid batting performance from Jonathan Trott, who remained unbeaten on 98 runs until the end.

However, the tourists failed to get off to an ideal start and lost their captain early in the innings. Cook has been unable to make a solid impression in the series until now and got out after scoring three runs today.

The former looked in excellent touch today, but was unable to carry onto the start he got to his innings. He was dismissed after contributing 36 runs to the total off 38 balls with the help of three fours and a couple of massive sixes.

Pietersen looked in excellent form today, as he was hitting the ball extremely well. He clobbered 64 runs from 61 deliveries with the help of nine boundaries before finally getting out in the 30th over of the innings.
