LIVE – England v Sri Lanka – 3rd ODI - 10 overs update
Having played ten overs in the third One Day International of the five-match series against Sri Lanka, England were 32 for 2.
Skipper Alastair Cook was unbeaten at 25, while the prolific middle-order batsman, Kevin Pietersen, who had arrived at the crease after Jonathan Trott’s dismissal, was playing at 2.
The English innings was opened by skipper Alastair Cook and wicketkeeper batsman, Craig Kieswetter, while Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga took the Lankan frontline.
The hosts got off to a slow start as the opening duo could only put 17 runs on the board in five overs. Malinga, who is famous for his slinging action, opened his first spell with a maiden over.

Suranga Lakmal replaced Malinga in the 8th over of the day. The second English wicket fell at the score of 30 when Lakmal had Trott caught by Tillakaratne Dilshan at mid-off. Trott could score only two singles during his 13-ball stay at the crease.
Earlier Alastair Cook opted to bat first after winning the toss. Cook had said at Headingley that England ‘fancy chasing’; however, England wanted to bat first this time, after their 69-run defeat in the previous game.
Both the sides fielded an unchanged squad from the Leeds game.
