LIVE Ireland vs. South Africa: Proteas stutter against the Irish – ICC World Cup 2011 news
South Africa stuttered at the start of their fifth group match of the ICC World Cup 2011 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The Proteas managed 113 for the loss of 4 wickets after 25 overs.
Irish captain William Porterfield won the toss and he elected to field first. He claimed that the wicket would remain the same throughout the match and will not change much for the team batting second.

The innings was started confidently by Hashim Amla and captain Graeme Smith. Amla played some beautiful strokes, but he gave his wicket away in an attempt to be ultra aggressive. The classy player scored 18 runs off 17 balls in his short stay at the crease.
Smith did not look comfortable at all in the middle, as he scored 7 runs from 18 balls. He was unfortunate to be run out courtesy some efficient work in the field by John Mooney.

George Dockrell. The wicketkeeper batsman got out after scoring 42 runs off 41 balls.
Jacques Kallis looked solid in the middle, but was run out by Ireland captain Porterfield for 19 runs. It was the second time in two innings where he ran himself out.

At the end of 25 overs, Duminy was batting on 16 off 29 balls whereas du Plessis was unbeaten on 9 from 14 balls.
