The Eagles had lost five wickets for just 69 runs on the board and still trail by 197 runs. Their only hope with be middle-order batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/S-Matsikenyeri-c2395, who was unbeaten on 38 before the second session of play came to an end.
Eagles’ start was not a very good one, as the openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simbarashe-Prince-Gupo-c90293 got out without making a solid impression. The latter was the first man to be dismissed in the innings without troubling the scorers.
Raza was the next man to follow. He managed only one run off 11 balls in his short stay at the wicket.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/F-Mutizwa-c1426 was also unable to make an impression, as he got out after adding just six runs to the total.
Just five runs later, wicketkeeper batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Regis-Wiriranai-Chakabva-c84623 was also sent back to the pavilion. He only managed four runs in an unimpressive outing.
The biggest loss of the day for the team was the wicket of Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/E-Chigumbura-c1411. He has been a regular member of the national team and was expected to rescue his side out of trouble.
However, the experienced all-rounder got out after contributing just 10 runs to the total off 24 balls. His wicket left the team in deep trouble, being five down for 57 runs on the board.
Eagles’ skipper Matsikenyeri did not give up fighting, as he played some responsible cricket. He scored 39 runs with the help of six boundaries before the umpires called the session off.

Considering the current state of the match, the Rocks will be eying to wrap things up quickly in order to take a solid first innings lead. They will be hoping to get the opposition out below 100 runs, but will have to get the wicket of Matsikenyeri in order
to achieve that.
