Malik made a comeback to the side during a recently concluded tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045, but was unable to make an impression. He was a part of the limited-over squad and was given a complete chance to cement his spot in the playing eleven.
However, the veteran cricketer seemed to be under and failed to score runs. He still managed to retain his place in the squad for the Pakistan hosted series against Sri Lanka, but was not given a game before today.
The 29-year-old will be looking forward to grab this opportunity with both hands and make an impression today otherwise this series might prove to be the last of his career.
On the other hand, Razzaq will be extremely disappointed after missing out. He had a very good chance of scoring a big one in the previous ODI after being promoted to number three by the captain.
However, the flamboyant player failed to make most of the chance he was given and got dropped from the playing eleven today.
