Despite a rain delay which stopped play for a fair amount of time, the Sri Lankan batsmen remained unfazed and managed to post a total of 124 at the expense of just 2 wickets against Qatar today on June 26, in the Group B matches of the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup at the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur.
The Sri Lanka U-19, currently at the top of the points table for Group B, are yet unbeaten in the tournament, having won both of the two matches they have played – first a 4-wicket victory against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 U-19 on June 24. The Qatar U-19, however, are at the bottom of the table, having failed to win a single match as yet.
Sri Lanka won the toss and skipper Angelo Jayasinghe opted to bat first. Their innings were opened by Vidura Adikari (11) and Pabasara Waduge (76). Sebastian Perera (28*) was next up to bat, and joined Waduge for a solid 89-run stand, which lasted till the 25th over, and got their side up to a total of 120.

Following Waduge’s dismissal, skipper Jayasinghe (2*) came up to bat, but owing to the rain, the Lankans were only able to play a total of 26 overs.
