  1. barrys better than bentley and he was sold for 20 million . plus barry and gerrard have a good partnership and if barry ever left the mighty villa he would be sitting on the bench so i don' see the point with liverpools interest .

  2. I don't know, you better ask benitez.

But I don't think  Liverpool need a player like Barry.

For me if I were him, I rather keep Alonso than Barry.

Remember all the great goals that Alonso did? I don't think Barry are able to do that.

  3. we dont need barry!however i still think rafa will sign him so he can make a team with more british players in

  4. To meet the requirement for english players, lol.

  5. I personally think Garth Barry is a great player but the thing I can't quite understand is so is Alonso. They have different qualities to there game but in terms of range of passing Barry is far more capable so maybe that's why.

  6. You are not getting Barry anyway cos Rafa would have to sell players to get him and Martin O'Neil has called time on it.

  7. Good question,he's a good player but we don't really need him.We should defo get Silva instead

  8. i dunno either xavi alonsos better

  9. We don't need him it would be a waste of money which could be spent on much better things

  10. omg... listen to the back tracking going on here.. barry would of been a great asset to liverpool but you have left the poor bloke high and dry... i wonder if this saga will put other  top quality players off courting with liverpool?? barry now looks a fool...

  11. In my opinion, before even signing another player, we HAVE to sell First. .

but onto your question-- i'm havin second thoughts about Barry. . And i am starting to think that we don't have a use for him. . . But i might be wrong. .. We must see what happens in these upcoming days. .

  12. It aint gonna happen, the money has already gone and is currently earning interest in Spurs bank account. £20 million for a 28 year old, Rafa really is a clown.

  13. We have no need for Gareth Barry in the slightest. The defencive midfield role, where Barry is at his best, is already filled with enough talent to last the whole season no matter who gets injured. Mascherano, Alonso, Plessis and Lucas Leiva are all very capable.

We know that Barry is versatile, and can play on the left wing as well, but why not take that money and spend it on a natural winger? I'd be much happier seeing David Silva, Ashley Young, Jaoquin or somebody like that at Anfield rather than Gareth Barry.

Even if Alonso leaves, I'd be more than happy with Plessis filling in for the season.

  14. o' neil wont let him go but i rather he did because he wont be playing with his heart for villa.

also why dont we let him go for £16million now rather than let him go at the end of the season for a free transfer when his contract runs out.

  15. We do not need Barry and I agree with you Joshter that we should invest the money in a winger instead.

  16. I agree, Barry is a great midfielder but I think our midfield is already bursting to the brim! A quality winger is what we need!

Probably Silva or Van Der Vaart?

    :)

  17. i dont think hes worth the money they want for him.

  18. As A Gooner I will agree with you on that one, a lot of hype about an average player. As for the price tag on Keane I feel ye were robbed. Berbatov made him look much better than he actually is. He has not performed well on the International stage in ages,

  19. We don't need him, Alonso is 10 times better.

You're right we can put the money to good use.
