We bought our house about a year ago, and joined the smart AC program with PGE. Our Heater worked fine until after a new thermostat (their smart AC one) was installed. Whether or not, it is linked, I don't know. But now our limit switch on our AC/Heater Unit locks and cold air is blown through our house in the winter time. The only way to stop this from happening until the limit switch can be reset by climbing on the roof to the unit, is to shut off the breaker to it. My questions is, how hard would this be to fix on our own, and if it would be impossible, how much would a technician run to fix it for us. We know we cannot afford a new heater/AC unit at this time.
