Illinois was an excellent team last year.  They came within a hair's breadth of having an undefeated season, losing very close games to Missouri (controversial play on Illini QB) and Iowa (touchdown called back inside of last 2 minutes).  

The reason they get blown out by the SEC is the SEC is a stronger conference, and has better team speed at key positions.

USC has strong recruiting, great depth, and excellent coaching. They also have moments of attention deficit disorder (Stanford?????).  And they also just flat get beat by better teams (Texas) in big games. So they are certainly not invulnerable. And they also play in a weak conference.

OSU will do just fine, thank you, against USC, if Beanie is healthy. If he isn't, it's a tough read.

Actually, I think next week's game should be good. Two powerhouse teams. Let's just enjoy it.

Why does everyone outside of Ohio hate Ohio State so much and love USC so much? USC fans are just band wagoners. Wait until Ohio State smashes USC in week 3 and we'll see who's talking then.
