LMFAO amongst others to perform in free concerts a week before the Super Bowl – NFL News
The Super Bowl XLVI is set to take place on Sunday February 5th 2012 and excitement is already rising across the country on which two teams will face off for the coveted trophy.
The event which will take place in Indianapolis, home of the franchise Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium and preparations to make the stadium ready are in full swing.
The Super Bowl Host Committee in yesterday’s press conference announced the roster of musicians who will be performing in the free concerts throughout the week before the Super Bowl.
The list includes famous bands and musicians from across America and will feature Patti LaBelle, Bret Michaels and En Vogue. However, these are not the only ones scheduled to entertain the visiting crowds with Big Head Todd and
the Monsters, Corey Cox, LMFAO, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Edwin McCain, Fitz and the Tantrums, Fuel, Here come the Mummies, IU’s Straight no Chaser, O.A.R, Railroad Earth, Sixpence None the Richer, Umphrey’s McGee and Will Hoge.
The concerts will take place in Indianapolis and will be free of charge for the fans. The Host Committee also raised the bar by revealing that the mentioned artists are not the final list with more expected to be added during the
weeks ahead.
With such mega stars performing live this year’s Super Bowl is already shaping up to be the best experience for fans which including the football can enjoy their favourite musicians showcasing their talents.
Madonna was already slated to perform during the famous Super Bowl halftime show. It is expected that M.I.A and Nicky Minaj will also join Madonna on stage. All three are expected to perform Madonna’s new single “Gimme All Your
Luvin”.
The showcase event of American Football is the most watched televised event in America and its viewership ratings are second only to football’s UEFA Champions League. The game will also for the first time is being streamed live
over the internet and will be available on mobile devices.
The American Football Conference team New England Patriots are the favourites to reach the Super Bowl final. Led by quarterback Tom Brady the Patriots are the dominant team in the AFC. Green Bay Packers on the other hand are the
National Football Conference’s favourites to reach the Super Bowl but will face tough competition from New Orleans Saints.
These teams however look better on paper and games are not won on paper. The playoffs round can spring some big surprises in the run in to the Super Bowl main event.
