Think you may be thinking about the 90's where a woman disappeared believe she was a witness to something, and two guys were charged with her disappearance, cant think of any incidents in the 80's, Good Luck

Ok you tried the links but you need to go to a local library in the  area and look through old copies of the local papers. Also some library in London ( no idea which) keeps copies of all past local papers.
