LOSC Lille Metropole coach Rudi Garcia tips Paris Saint-Germain for Championelle glory - Ligue 1 news
Rudi Garcia, coach of defending Champions Lille Metropole, has identified Paris Saint-Germain as favourites for the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 Championelle.
Following PSG’s spending spree in the transfer window, many of the French Ligue 1 clubs have been left intimidated by the force that Les Parisiens are building. The 47-year-old French tactician believes that the club’s massive investment in the transfer
window means that they have only one objective in mind and that is to stand at the top of the podium; anything less would be considered a failure.
In an interview with France football, the former AS Saint-Etienne coach expressed his opinion by saying, “There will be no fight in the title race. Given the investment, PSG will be champions.”
He added, “With the recruitment and the means used, the club do not start with the ambition to finish second or third, or even in Europe League. Paris are at the first place and rightly so, They deserve to be champions.”
It appears that Champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 have already resigned and accepted Les Rouge-et-Bleu as the next Champions of France.
However, this ploy was a speciality of the seven-time Champions http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130. The Nemours native seems to believe in the superstition that puts pressure on the opponents by declaring them winners, while working quietly in the shadows.
Rudi Garcia’s men are currently placed 7th ahead of AS Saint-Etienne, whereas Paris Saint-Germain are third in the fourth week of Ligue 1 Championelle. The defending champions have made a sluggish start to their 2011/2012 campaign. They lost the
Trophee des champions to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AS-Nancy-c38468 Lorraine and Montpellier Herault SC respectively in the opening games of Ligue 1 Championnat.
Les Dogues found their form in the match against SM Caen and Marseille as they won 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.
Antoine Kombouare, coach at Parc des Princes, would be aware of the mind games and will know that his team will have to fight tooth and nail in order to claim the Championelle as well as winning the UEFA Europa League this season.
