In search of a new winger next season, Ligue 1 side FC Girondins de Bordeaux are keeping tabs on Tunisian international Youssef Msakni. LOSC Lille are also keen on signing the Esperance winger
Following FC Girondins’ de Bordeaux’s 1-0 defeat at the Mosson against Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier Herault, coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francis-c13946 Gillot must inevitably be thinking what the side needs in order to turn draws into wins.
Having a world class striker is a must for the Aquitaine club. Les Girondins had been in the market for a striker in January but none came. However, it now appears that the club could consider signing a new one in the summer transfer window.
Reports claim that Gillot has already sighted a striker/winger he feels would become a valuable asset to the club for years to come.
RMC reports that the club is closely following the trail of Tunisia international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tunisia-c3025 were much appreciated during the African Cup of Nations. In four games, Msakni scored three goals.
And the residents of Chaban-Delmas indeed sent an envoy to oversee the youngster’s performances during the tournament.
Furthermore, Bordeaux’s scouts were present when Esperance (Msakni’s club) played a 1-1 draw against MAS de Fes in a African Super Cup game. The scouts have comeback with raving reviews of a player who can play as an attacking midfielder, winger and as a
striker. The youngster has already scored four goals in four league games for Esperance which means that there must be some logic behind Gillot’s keenness on signing the striker.
However, the Aquitaine club is far away from securing the player’s services. Numerous clubs have been keeping tabs on Msakni. First, it’s French Ligue 1 giants LOSC Lille and Caen who have been following the player. Then it is English Premier League side
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 FC and La Liga side Atletico Madrid who have been monitoring the striker’s progress.
What can be confirmed for now is that Esperance will not let go of their prized asset for anything less than 4 million Euros which means that the aforementioned clubs might already have started their homework in order to sign the gifted player.
