The two Ligue 1 giants are keen on signing Senegalese defender Abdoulaye Ba from Liga Sagres side Academica Coimbra
Both Olympique Lyonnais and LOSC Lille are looking to strengthen their rearguard this summer. Naturally, both clubs are seemingly having the same mentality when it comes to choosing targets.

Ba says that it will be a dream come true for him to play in Ligue 1 because his family lives in France.
“I know a lot of clubs are following me from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. I heard the interest of Lyon and Lille but I have not received any concrete proposal. As many Senegalese, playing in France is a dream. In addition, I have family there, in
Villeneuve-le-Roi. It is clear that Lyon and Lille are great teams. When I was younger, OL was on top and I loved the way they played.”
Benfica are also keen on signing the youngster but it still remains to be seen whether http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 will be looking to sell Ba to their archrivals.
Under contract at Porto until 2013, Ba expects to have a meeting with his parent club’s representatives soon in order to find out about his future.
Though Lyon and Lille will offer him a great chance to hone his skills, it still remains to be seen whether Porto will so easily let go of him especially after such a great season with a club that has hardly stood up to the giants in Portuguese football
in the past.
