On the verge of losing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Senegal-c3001 international Moussa Sow, reigning Ligue 1 champions, LOSC Lille have reportedly already identified a replacement in Stade Rennais striker Jires Kembo-Ekoko.

This winter, reigning Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille are keen on bringing a new striker to the Stade Metropole. With the African Cup of Nations on the horizon, star striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Moussa-Sow-c26939 would be leaving shortly to represent Senegal. Furthermore, the Senegalese
hitman has been linked with a move away from the club.
In a bid to find a good replacement for the prolific striker, Les Dogues have already started making a list of strikers who could fit into coach Rudi Garcia’s game plan. Initially, Lille were linked with moves for Stade Brestois striker Nolan Roux and Paris
Saint-Germain striker Mevlut Erdinç.
However, Roux’s club might not be willing to let go of the striker soon while Erdinç has reiterated his desire to stay at the Parc des Princes in a bid to win silverware.  
If the arrival of a new striker in January is far from certain, Lille have already started making plans for bringing a new striker this summer.
According to L’Equipe, the recruitment of a new striker is a top priority for Lille. Reports suggest that the champions of France have already identified a striker who they want to bring to the club in the summer transfer window.
23-year-old Jires Kembo-Ekoko is the name that has been linked with Lille. The player from Democratic Republic of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Congo-c2875 is currently under contract at Stade Rennais where he is an integral part of Frederic Antonetti’s side.
Since making his Ligue 1 debut for the Bretons in the 2006/07 campaign, Ekoko has become an automatic starter for Rennais.
This season, the youngster has scored seven goals in 15 Ligue 1 games and the Kinshasa-born is considered to be one of the most productive players in France.
Linked with Les Rogues et Noir until 2013, Kembo Ekoko might consider making a move away from Rennais by the end of the current campaign. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Under-21 international has scored 13 goals in 92 games for Rennais and a move to Lille could improve
his goal tally.
Moussa Sow arrived at Lille not known as a prolific scorer but turned into one of the most lethal strikers in France. The same might happen to Ekoko if he joins a side whose coach gives his offensive players freedom of playing to their strengths.
