The Wolfsburg player, who spent last season on loan with AS Roma, was an author of an excellent campaign in Serie A last season. Kjaer further enhanced his reputation at Euro 2012, where he was impressive for the Denmark national team.
Lille coach Rudi Garcia is believed to be a huge admirer of the youngster and has scouted the player several times in the past. The Ligue 1 club view him as a potential addition to their ranks ahead of the 2012/2013 season.
Reports claim that Les Dogues have approached Wolfsburg for the defender, who is reportedly unhappy with the life at Volkswagen Arena.
However, the Bundesliga club’s asking price for the player has cooled Lille’s interest in the player. Kjaer employers want much more than what Lille are willing to pay for the former Palermo man.
According to reports, Die Wolfe want at least 6 million Euros for the 23-year-old, who has refused to play under coach Felix Magath. Simon Kjaer does not enjoy best of relationships with the coach, who does not consider the defender part of his plans at
