LOSC Lille monitoring Real Madrid youngster Sergio Canales – Ligue 1 news
Spanish newspaper, Marca suggests that reigning Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille are keeping tabs on La Liga giants Real Madrid youngster Sergio Canales.
Lille have already signed Marko Basa, Rodelin, Vincent Enyema, Benoit Pedretti and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitri-Payet-c11276 this summer and it seems that Les Dogues are still a long way to go from finishing their summer shopping.
So far, Lille have just plugged the holes that were left following the departures of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423 (Newcastle United). Rudi Garcia is looking to make a few more signings before the end of the transfer window.
With Lille competing domestically and in the UEFA Champions League next season, Rudi Garcia is keen on increasing the depth of the squad. Reports in Marca now suggest that Garcia is keen on signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined Real Madrid from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Santander in the summer of 2010 for six million Euros. However, the youngster failed to break into the first-team largely due to the presence of self-established stars in the Madrid starting
XI.
With competition for starting places bound to get even tougher next season, Canales might choose leaving the capital club in order to get regular game-time. Rudi Garcia is a great admirer f the youngster and is looking to bring him to the Stade Metropole.
However, Lille will have to fight La Liga side Villarreal for the signature of the talented midfielder. The Yellow Submarine are reportedly already in advanced negotiations with Real Madrid over the possible transfer of the young Spaniard.
Though Lille have not yet made any proposals yet, the coming days might see more action from Les Dogues who could lose http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 in the transfer market this summer. Bringing in Sergio Canales could also mean that Lille might consider letting Hazard leave.
Last season, Canales made only 10 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid. A lot of competition for starting places in Real Madrid has hindered the youngster’s progress and has never really given Canales enough opportunities to prove himself to manager Jose
Mourinho.
A move to LOSC Lille seems to be fairly logical for the young midfielder as he will also get a chance to feature in the Champions League next season if he chooses to join Lille.
