A few weeks back, the 2011 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ibrahim-Afellay-c16547. The 26-year-old Netherlands international has never been a regular starter for the Catalan giants and was linked with a move to Lille for a
long time.
Reports claimed that Lille offered Barca 9 million euros for the talented midfielder. Condemned to warming the bench, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 was close to joining Lille. However, it appears that the player’s agent thinks otherwise.
While talking to French reporters, Karel Jansen made it very clear that Barca do not intend to sell the player.
“Barca will not sell him and Ibrahim does not want to leave Barca,” said Jansen.
Frederic Paquet, the Administrative Director of Lille also confirmed that the club is not going to require the services of Afellay as they have already secured the signature of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
However, there are still a lot of questions regarding the remainder of recruitment activity at the club.
“We are going according to schedule. We will see things as opportunities arise. It’s still very open. For now, players who are there, are in place,” says Paquet.
France international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Debuchy-c24682 has been strongly linked with a move away from the club but Paquet says that as long as the club does not find a suitable replacement, Debuchy will not be sold.
