LOSC Lille ready to let go of Ludovic Obraniak albeit under a few conditions – Ligue 1 news
On December 30, 2011, Poland international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ludovic-Obraniak-c22623 while talking to L’Equipe clearly expressed his displeasure at being a luxury player at Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille.
With UEFA Euro 2012 on the horizons, Obraniak is keen to get regular game time in order to stay under the radar of Polish national side coach Franciszek Smuda. With the European event being co-hosted by Poland and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032, Obraniak
does not want to miss his first major competition for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 and is fully aware that a move away from Stade Metropole might be the only thing that will book him a ticket to the event.
The attacking midfielder of Lille is a luxury at the club coach Rudi Garcia rarely avails. The 27-year-old did feature in the starting line-up in Lille’s last Ligue 1 game against Stade Brestois but that was just a rarity.
Competing for a place in the starting XI with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitri-Payet-c11276, Obraniak knows that he quickly needs to find a club in the upcoming winter transfer window in order to get regular game time
that would allow him to make it to the Euro 2012 for Poland.
LOSC Lille have now said that they are willing to let go of the frustrated midfielder under one condition. According to reports, Les Dogues will let go of the France-born Pole if they are able to find a replacement in the upcoming
winter transfer window.
Followed by Russian, Turkish and Greek leagues, Obraniak is also attracting a lot of interest from German Bundesliga highflyers Borussia Monchengladbach who are currently sitting in second place in the Bundesliga standings and
are level on points with reigning German champions Borussia Dortmund.
Since joining Lille from Metz for a mere 1.2 million Euros in the January of 2007, Obraniak has made 149 appearances for Les Dogues and despite his form, has seen his playing time reduced considerably during the last two seasons.
With competition for places in the starting XI tougher than last season at Lille, the Longeville-lès-Metz –born player knows that a move away from the club is the only option he has in order to stay in contention for the Poland
squad that will play in the European Championships next year.
