LOSC Lille see http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Park-Chu-Young-c29137 fly to Arsenal – Ligue 1 report
In a bizarre turn of circumstances, reigning French Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille have seen South Korean international Chu-Young Park walk out on the club he was about to sign for to join English Premier League side Arsenal FC.
the 26-year-old recently arrived at Lille for a medical but has now flown to England to sign for Arsenal FC according to reports in French media. The AS Monaco man had been linked with a move to Lille for a long time and it seemed that the South Korean would
become a Lille player officially.
However, things have changed dramatically and after getting a phone call from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, the Korean striker has apparently flown out to London to sign with the Premier League side.
According to L’Equipe, Park had asked AS Monaco at 2:00 A.M to agree with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 in a move that has left a bitter taste in the mouths of the Lille hierarchy.
Lille president http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-c25453 Seydoux has expressed his anger at the whole fiasco and said, “We are stunned by this unacceptable behaviour in terms of human qualities. This shoes that the player had nothing to do with LOSC.”
Frederic Paquet on the other hand is even more incensed at Park’s behaviour and says, “The signature is a moral commitment. I have never seen such a thing. Even when we almost signed Gignac, he had the decency to stop the transfer rather than walking out
after everything was done.”
Pacquet also took time to blast Wenger’s attitude and said that Wenger is the one to be blamed for all this.
“It is not very glorious from Wenger’s side. He was entitled to do it but it is not very classy from someone who is always giving moral lessons to others,” said an understandably angry Pacquet.
As for the players, the tone is less acerbic than the club management’s. Aurelien Chedjou wrote on his twitter account took a slightly less angry stance on all this and said, “This is something we will have a laugh about in the morning. He had us. I admit
that it’s not right but we need to turn the page.”
With Arsene Wenger literally stealing Lille’s player, it seems that the Frenchman definitely has made another enemy in Ligue 1 following his earlier issues with the direction of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 a few years ago when he forced the club into selling
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 – a player who has recently left the Gunners for Manchester City.
