Despite attaining the services of the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marvin-Martin-c24496, Rudi Garcia is still keen on snapping up the Le Havre striker this summer
Earlier this morning, it was confirmed that French Ligue 1 giants, LOSC Lille, are not really interested in acquiring the services of Stade Rennais striker, Jires Kembo-Ekoko. The striker had been linked with a move to the northerners for quite some time
but it now appears that it is a young player in Ligue 2 who has impressed the Les Dogues hierarchy.
Young Cape Verdean striker, Ryan Mendes da Graca is currently under contract at Ligue 2 outfit, Le Havre and has expressed his desire to go to Lille as the team is getting stronger every year and plays football the way he wants it to be played.
“My wish is to go there (to Lille). Their project interests me. They play quick, one-touch football. This is a team that is growing every year, playing to win titles. I feel like that, it would be great.”
However, it is the leaders at the Upper Normandy club who are unwilling to show any sort of flexibility in this regard. While talking to RMC, club chairman, Jean-Pierre Louvel, confirmed the player’s desire.
Although Louvel admits the youngster is could eventually leave Stade Oceane, nothing less than 5 million euros would convince him to let go of his star player.
Initially, Lille offered Le Havre 3 million euros for the services of the player who has been at le club doyen since 2008.
“There is no pressure around these negotiations. We need all conditions for Ryan to depart to Lille to be met. Today, his departure is not suitable for HAC. Lille made me a first offer which I refused. Lille have my number, they can call me. If Lille wants
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mendes-c25206 and Ryan wants to go to Lille, I do not see any downside.”
However, Louvel says that there are other clubs who are equally interested in the 22-year-old as well but they will also have to meet Le Havre’s financial requirements for the player.
