LOSC Lille to sell http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Senegal-c3001 international Moussa Sow next summer – Ligue 1 report
Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 suggest that reigning Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille are yet to come to a mutual agreement with star striker Moussa Sow over a possible extension to the Senegal International’s contract at the club.
The 25-year-old striker has been linked with a move away from Stade Metropole Villeneuve d’Ascq since the summer transfer window opened. However, Moussa Sow chose to stay at the club in a hope that he would be offered a new contract at the club with better
terms.
However, it now appears that though Lille have offered last season’s topscorer in Ligue 1 a new contract, Sow is not satisfied with what the contract offers him and is not willing to sign an extension. Under contract at the club until 2013, it seems that
the former Stade Rennais striker might leave the club next summer.
Currently, the striker is earning 110,000 Euros per month at Lille and is expecting to have an increment of up to 200,000 Euros per month after a prolific 2010/2011 campaign with Les Dogues. Discussions with Lille over a possible contract extension have
stalled which means that the striker could be on his way out of the club next summer.
Les Dogues were forced to sell Ivorian international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Moussa-Sow-c26939 is already attracting considerable interest from English
Premier League sides.
Though the Senegalese international might not be looking to leave the club this summer, a move away from France may well be on the cards especially if Lille fail to offer the prolific striker a new contract with better terms.
Last season, Sow scored 25 goals in 36 Ligue 1 games for Lille as LOSC lifted the Championelle after a long wait of 54 years. With Lille looking to become a regular Champions League participant in the coming years, the club’s direction should do everything
they can in order to hold on to their star players like Sow and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863.
