The 19-year-old is happy at Grand Stade Lille Metropole and has played down the speculation linking him with a move abroad
The Frenchman has been in tremendous form for Les Dogues for the last couple of years and has attracted a lot of plaudits from coaches and pundits.
The youngster has been tipped for a bright future and has already featured in two of Lille’s games in Ligue 1 this season.
After impressing for the French club last season and starting this campaign promisingly, several clubs have shown an interest in attaining the youngster’s services.
English Premier League giants, Manchester United and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528 Digne has rubbished such rumours by pledging his future to Grand Stade Lille Metropole.
In an interview with L'Equipe, the left-back said that he does not intend to leave Lille and is happy to be here. Being linked with some of the best clubs in Europe is indeed pleasing, but Digne is not getting carried away.
The 19-year-old said that he is completely focused on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 at hand and such reports do not trouble him.
"It's nice (the reported interest), but I am focused. Lille is where my heart is.”
Lucas Digne still has four years to run on his current contract and the Frenchman does not wish to leave at this stage of his career.
"I have a contract until 2016 and I did not want to leave the club. Everything is good here and there is a real danger in trying to leave too early.”
The left-back stated that moving to a big club in the Premier League could harm his chances of playing regular football, and moving abroad at such a young age could turn out to be a disaster.
"Personally, I hear about stories every day here. But for each match, I have to prove my level. Many players played when they were young and then disappeared. I want to have a long career."
Digne added that he needs to bring more improvement in his game in order to cement a place in Rudi Garcia’s starting eleven, before thinking about moving to a bigger club.
