Considering putting a pool table on hardwood floor next to staircase. Afraid noise will be too much for kids sleeping upstairs and others watching TV downstairs.

Anyone have a pool table on wood floors that can help? Should I just put it in the garage?

  1. I have a pool table on a tile floor, its loud when you break but thats about it.

  2. you can put a rug under the table. also if  there's windows in the room, put some fabric curtains, it'll help dampen the sound

  3. If it is too loud you could always play when they are awake.

  4. Even if on carpet, pool tables are loud... and if that's an issue for you, then don't get one.

  5. shouldnt be a problem at all - we fit them on wood floors all the time.

also, storing a table in a garage shouldnt damage the table in any way, if you do go that route.
