Question:

LOUD bird. Angry bird....?

My parakeet is 2 and she used to be kind of loud, not too bad though, but since moving in Mid-July she has gotten to the point where every single morning she is squawking, not even like loud calling noises, just plain squawks...it is ridiculous.

Then once she is uncovered she "calls" for about 10 minutes but then is quiet.

She should be used to being uncovered earlier, after all it has been summer for 2.5 months already.

Could there be a solvable reason for the loudness?

  1. its just a different place

shes just getting used to it

maybe there is a noise in the morning that she is still scared if

    good luck

  2. Your bird because it is unfamiliar surrounds is getting upset!!!

Was she near a window or have you moved her to a different part of the room where there are no windows?

Even the sun reflecting on something new will upset her,she is letting you know all of these things ,but don't worry she Will settle down just give her a bit more time.

  3. If you notice wild birds they call and makes noises in the morning and at night  before they roost. Your parakeet is doing the same thing and this is normal for birds. I have 14 of them and they all do this at the same time everyday. You may consider where you placed the cage. Is it near a window? Morning light makes them call more and earlier in the morning. Other than cage placement there is nothing wrong with your bird or anything much you can do change it.

  4. Probably still upset from the move.  Something must have traumatized your bird.  Hopefully it will get over it soon just keep it stocked with lots of toys.

  5. maybe something scares the bird..

    or he hears another one...
