LPGA star Shanshan Feng all set for battle in France
Chinese Shanshan Feng, who racked up her first major title at the LPGA Championship 2012 in June this year, is once again seeking to do her best when she comes face-to-face against rivals at the Evian Masters
2012 this Thursday.
The Evian Masters 2012 is set to take place from July 26-29, at the Evian-les-Bains, with a number of fearsome contenders such as the defending champion Ai Miyazato of Japan.
Feng has proved her critics wrong in the past few months, as she improved game so quickly that even those with stunning records on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour could not help marvelling
at the ease with which she boosted her position in the world rankings.
The Chinese star currently ranks fifth in the Women’s World Golf Rankings, and is seeking to move ahead by recording more victories this year. Right now, the star performer is brimming with confidence and knows
how to battle strong contenders in the roster.
According to the officials, the roster for the Evian Masters 2012 is packed with almost all the top-ranked stars such as current world number one Yani Tseng, Paula Creamer, Stacy Lewis, Lexi Thompson, Cristie
Kerr, Ai Miyazato, Na Yeon Choi, Maria Hjorth, Suzann Pettersen, Karrie Webb, Sun Young Yoo, Jiyai Shin, I.K. Kim, Azahara Munoz, Amy Yang, Mika Miyazato and Catriona Matthew.
Feng might have made some terrible mistakes in recent tournaments, but she is determined to make headway, and this is what will help her keep moving forward.
Speaking to the media about how she is going to fare against rivals at Evian-les-Bains, the 22-year-old LPGA star said that she knows that it will not be easy to beat top-ranked players, but she is ambitious
to win, and this is what matters the most for her.
Sharing her thought about the victory at the Wegman’s LPGA Championship 2012, Feng said that it had been a wonderful and a little hectic experience for her. “I mean, I was home for two weeks totally and it
was so busy, like the schedule was like nonstop for 10 days in a row. Started like when I arrived at the airport in Beijing. I mean, every time when I went home before only my parents will come and pick me up,” she shared.
