Question:

LSAT Prep Question?

I took a short class and have been through probably 600 real LSAT questions and have done the LSAT Superprep (need to review). I am currently going through the Logical Reasoning Bible(love it). I will also go through the Logic Games Bible and use the Logic Games Ultimate Games Setup Guide to do the 40 more real practice tests I have. My goal is to score between 165-180. Any more advice?

  1. Do practice tests like crazy. It was the single best thing I did for my own test prep.

The test is absolutely exhausting. It's a lot of reading, and it it utterly draining. If you get your brain and body used to sitting for several hours at a time and working on LSAT material, it will make your life much easier come test day.

LSAT Superprep seemed helpful at the time...but then I found out that the most recent test was from years ago. If you have a friend who has taken it recently, find out if you can get a copy of the test and answers from him or her. (They will have been sent or e-mailed it when they received their score.)

    Good luck!

  2. First, try TestSherpa as well, there is free LSAT info on that site.

    1) Get all of the prep test you can get your hands on, but don't just take them blindly. Study them to see how the questions, arguments and wrong answers are created. When you start to understand the patterns, your score will suddenly jump.

    2) Review the tests and questions you've already taken with friends. You may find an interesting approach you didn't consider.

    3) Don't shoot for perfection. You don't need a 180 to get into a top tier school, so be strategic about your approach to the test. It would be better to aim for a 172+ and hit it than to aim for a 180 and not have time to improve in any specific areas.

    4) Consider a private tutor.
