LSAT Test Prep Course help/ideas? Please Help!?

I'm pretty sure I want to take a Kaplan LSAT prep course before I take the LSAT. They have about 5 or 6 different prep courses and I didn't know which to choose (I'm considering LSAT Advanced or either LSAT Extreme), because I need to get into a Tier 1 Law School (i.e. NYU, Columbia) as they are the ones with the best Entertainment Law programs.

My question is, did Kaplan help you focus on reading the test questions faster (time management) or would I also need to take a speed-reading class in addition to the Lsat Prep Course? I have no problem with comprehension, I just need to read the questions faster? Please help!! Thank you!

I used Powerscore for LSAT prep, so I won't comment on your question about Kaplan because I don't know the difference between their various courses.

You won't need speed reading courses for the LSAT. The test is designed in way that defeats any attempt at speed reading. Any good course should give you the tools to recognize patterns within the LSAT, and doing that will help you move faster. There are all sorts of things that repeat on the test--from reasoning types to question types--and as you become familiar with recognizing those and manipulating them, you will get faster. So, the good news at least is that you don't have to spend any extra money on speed reading classes!
