  1. feel sorry for any body that O.D's on acid I dont think you can I new a guy that was selling it in the early 90's got stoped by cops and ate over 150 hits he's still alive but vary messed up his brain is absolutely fried to mush

  2. it effects your mind, it's bad, you could go into permanent psychosis. there are flashbacks.

    it it not reality.

reading these other attempts at answers, obviously most NEVER took acid. :)

  3. LSD is an enormously powerful entheogen and I highly recommend teenagers avoid it & other powerful drugs.  It affects certain receptors in the serotonin system, so not just the brain but the whole nervous system, the immune system etc.  Through secondary effects, it's easier to just say your whole body and mind are radically affected.

It is impossible to adequately describe an LSD trip to somebody who hasn't experienced hallucinogens.  External hallucinations only occur at higher doses, although most people will perceive brighter, more vivid colours and clearer, more harmonious music etc.

Most of the effect is in terms of altering internal thought processes ie how you perceive and respond to both the external and especially your internal world.  Your altered response to altered thoughts can quickly take your experience far outside your comfort zone.

In particular, people become much more focussed on individual features to the exclusion of others.  It is not unusual for people on LSD to find eg the most tatty bit of carpet as fascinating as getting to meet an alien.

Whilst there is a euphoric effect, LSD generally amplifies emotions.  Proponents talk about creating a positive setting for ensuring a good trip - I would not even think about taking LSD unless you're in a good mood and have people you trust around you.  Breaking up with your girlfriend/boyfriend on LSD would be worse than your worst nightmares.  Spiking someone's drink with LSD is incredibly dangerous - knowing that you're on the drug helps you to maintain some composure no matter how bizarre your experience.

In comparison with other hallucinogens, LSD is a cleaner and longer trip than mushrooms although most people prefer the latter.  An LSD trip is an epic 8-16 hours and will almost certainly change your life - not necessarily in a good way.  Any insights that come to you whilst on entheogens, consider highly suspect.

The difference of intensity & bizareness between LSD and cannabis is perhaps of the same scale as the difference between cannabis and alcohol.

The lethal overdose limit is considered to be thousands of times what would drive you crazy.  And contrary to urban myth, LSD isn't stored in your spinal column.  With LSD, overdose is better considered in terms of your ability to maintain a good trip: setting, mental health and physical health in that order are the main factors.

You can still feel the effects of LSD for a day or two and it's almost unheard of for people to immediately want more.

Tolerance is gained very quickly - repeated trips within a month tend to be much weaker.

There are therefore no withdrawal effects.

There is an enormous amount written about LSD on the internet:

  4. People should not answer if they haven't tripped :))))

Ess M nailed it pretty good.

  5. I don't know much about the drug, considering I'm only 17. But LSD effects the brain, higher counciousness, etc. An interesting fact about it is that unlike other drugs, marijuana crack, those drugs can be traced to certain parts of the body, but LSD can't be traced after it reaches the brain. Good luck on your project!

  6. ok dont listen to most of these people

    i costs about $5 a hit.

Sometimes, at big festivals or parties it might be as expensive as $20 per hit, or it may just as easily be free.

wholesale it goes for about $3000 per gram, which is enough for 10,000 hits at 100 micrograms per hit.

Since LSD is so special, the market has never really been about making money, many of the people who make it are evangelists that want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to try it.

the short term effects would be paranoia maybe hallucinations....basically it gives you schizophrenia for a short time

it affects the brain or really the g receptors and it puts extra seratonin and dopamine in  your brain  (too much of can cause schizophrenia and too little of can cause parkinsons disease)

it is IMPOSSIBLE to overdose on LSD  and therefore are no withdrawal symptoms. but the body however can only consume so much lsd at once that it can stay in yur body forever because it is fat soluble and you can go on a permanent trip which is very bad

lsd dosent make  you see purple rainbows or little green men, it causes trails (extended movement) and hallucinations and  makes colors seem more vibrant.... it makes you THINK things are happening that really arent as in if yoou have a fear of spider it can make you think your covered in them if you go into a bad trip

also lsd stands for  Lysergic acid diethylamide and was synthesized by Albert Hoffman

  7. The good liquid LSD is kind of expensive...blotter is $5 a hit last time I checked...LSD has no short term effects it lasts for about 24 hours...it effects the entire body...if you overdose it can be frightening...once I thought I was melting into the sofa...no withdrawal at all..once it is over that's it...LSD can be used to have a spiritual experience...some have seen 'God'...and you can cure a narcotic addiction by taking LSD a couple of times...fact...the junky will not want any narcotics again after that...

  8. in addition to some of these answer's,  trace amounts store in your spinal fluid and if enough is taken can actually shrink your spinal cord.  some people have been known to have "flashbacks" when their back is cracked, due to minute amounts being re-released into the nervous system.  and it can be tested for through a hair follicle test and a spinal tap.  some businesses use hair follicle tests for employment but a release needs to be signed for a spinal tap.

  9. I cant tell you how much it costs bec I never bought any but I did take it several times & the last time in particular i took waaay too much and shortly therafter hallucinated my little brother melting into the ground, imagined hearing several conversations that never happened, and got so scared that i asked my dad to call 911, but if you don't do that much it kinda just makes your face in a permanent smile, everything is funny and you see alot of neon colors. I do not reccommend lsd for anyone.

  10. I don't know how much it costs anymore.  The short terms effects are strange feelings, hallucinations, auditory hallucinations, euphoria, a feeling of connectedness to the universe.  Sometimes it can all go wrong though...

It affects people in different ways.  It affects predominantly the mind which in turn can affect the body.  I don't know about overdose but you can have a seriously bad trip...the line between sanity and insanity is dangerously thin.

I don't think there are any withdrawal symptoms unless you are referring to the comedown which can make you mentally and physically exhausted...but sometimes euphoric just to be still alive! I would not advise anyone to take LSD...

  11. 1.$10-20 dollars a hit around here

2.a psychedelic trip witch no one can accurately describe

3.LSD binds to serotonin receptors in the brain

4.LSD is nontoxic and very few people have ever come close to overdosing but here's one report i found

A report of eight patients with severe LSD intoxication resulted from the substitution of LSD for cocaine, which the patients then snorted in doses greater than 2 "lines" each. The product was analyzed and found to be 80 to 90 percent pure, thus comprising a massive ingestion (milligram amounts). On presentation 10 minutes later, five patients were comatose, three with depressed respirations requiring endotracheal intubation. Sinus tachycardia (ranging from 110 to 200 beats/minute), mydriasis, vomiting, flushing and diaphoresis were uniformly present. Four patients developed fever (highest temperature, 41C or 107F), and transient hypertension was observed in three patients. Coagulopathies was demonstrated in all patients. Recovery was rapid and complete by 12 hours, but included a stage of hyperactivity and severe visual and auditory hallucinations.

5.LSD is non addictive and doesn't cause withdrawal symptoms

  12. About 5 bucks a hit maybe??

  13. I am always very happy to answer questions for young people on LSD.  When you do your report on LSD be sure and talk about the wonderful history of how it was discovered by Albert Hoffman.  So now for your questions.

Cost: It has gotton more expensive since in the early part of the decade it's primary production lab in kansas was closed by the authorities.  Short term effects: It is too hard to describe.  But it effects partially the filtration ability of the brain.  Allows access to the subconscious mind.  The part of the body it effects is the central nerve system.  Primarily the brain on a synaptic level. Overdose:  Small overdoses will produce hyper-reflexia, marked pupillary dilation, and chaotic thinking.  Extremely high overdose will make the patient neurologically incapacitated.  Ridged limbs that cannot organize motion.  The person will not be able to walk or talk.  All muscles very tight.  With spasticity and uncordinated movement.  There are no withdrawl symptoms that have ever been documented in habitual users.  You should know that while long term problems are reported as rare there is a syndrome called HPPD whic is a problem people may have for months to years after taking it usually frequently or at high doses.  This disorder involves the patient seeing trails and after images and some other problems.

  14. The prices vary according to the type of LSD ... but in the early 1970s it was about $5 per 'hit' (enough to get a person high) and it's up to about $10 per hit today in my state.

The 'short term' effects of LSD are that you get 'high' and have hallucinations ... they can be visual, audio, or both.  You get 'high' about one hour after taking LSD and are high for 8 hours, during which time the hallucinations can come and go.

There are no 'effects' of 'overdose' on LSD.  I've personally taken 18 - 25 'hits' and barely got 'high' because my tolerance was up.  Some people do have a very bad reaction, though, and need to be taken to the hospital to be 'brought down' IMMEDIATELY.  Thorazine (a psychoneurotic leveler) is used to bring a person down.  If a person is given a shot of Thorazine, they'll be down within half an hour, even if they've been 'high' only half an hour.

There are NO 'withdrawal symptoms' to stopping the use of LSD because it is not addicting.

What PART of the body does LSD effect?  THE MIND ... it may SEEM to affect other parts of the body, but LSD is strictly a way of altering the 'mentality' of a person ... so the only 'part' is the MIND ... the mind is in the brain, but long term there is no 'effect' other than having been 'high' before.
