LT155 with a hydrostatic transmission you have plenty of power when moving forward but when you press the pedal for reverse it does not have the power backing up as it does going forward?

You may be lucky and it is only a matter of adjusting the linkage for the reverse pedal, the drive belt's tension, or replacing a few minor parts on the input pulley to the transaxle.  Good luck finding a trusty mechanic!
