LUPSET area,Wakefield?

Ive been offered a flat in LUPSET,Wakefield, UK. Is the area any good?

i live near Wakefield n lupset is like all other areas it has bad places n good places your best bet is to have a look at it n the area first then make your decision, its also close to Wakefield it self so thats a plus point.

Depends where, I know a few people who live on that estate and have never had any problems, some areas of Lupset have had a bad name in the past but they seem to have sorted it out now. If the flat has been offered to you by Wakefield Housing then I would take it, getting a place can be really difficult in Wakefield, you can always put in for an exchange if you don't like the place.

Edit,Victoria Grove is in the area that used to have all the trouble, I would have a look at the flat but personally I wouldn't live there.

Grew up in Wakefield (well, Horbury, actually , but that's on the Lupset side).  Unless things have changed substantially, Lupset ceratinly isn't the nicest part of town - full of youth gangs and home of the 'Lupo Boot Boys'.......and last isaw the local pub seemed to have turned into a sort of country and western line dancing mecca - and you don't want that., do you....??
