La Dolfina’s new inductions quite optimistic for better show in Triple Crown – Polo Update
La Dolfina, which is currently holding one of the best line-ups after their new inductions is quite optimistic to show a better performance in the ongoing Tortugas Country Club Open Polo Championships, the first leg of the Triple Crown.
Juan Martin Nero and Pablo MacDonough, the players formerly affiliated with Ellerstina, have been joined by David Stirling and Adolfo Cambiaso to don the colours of Tortugas Open. Stirling while speaking to the media stated that though all the teams were
quite tough but they were hoping to put on the best show in the fixtures. He expressed astonishment over the victory of Indios Chapaleufu II over Estancia Grande saying that no one could say anything about any team at this level.
He said, “I don't know if we're above the rest because we haven't even played yet, we've only done two training sessions that turned out very well, but for us everything starts this Saturday and we'll then see how we are.”
To a query about Pilara Piaget to whom they are going to face in the next game, Stirling was of the opinion that he had not watched the game against La Aguada. However, they were a mixture of fresh blood which showed an impressive game. In his view, Bautista
Heguy and Hilario Ulloa will put in a good showing against them in the coming fixture.
Commenting on the ongoing season, he was of the opinion that they will lift the title in Palermo which has a tremendous amount of significance for them as compared to the two others events. La Dolfina last time lost the competition at the Palermo which annoyed
the fans and Stirling is under the impression that they will not make that mistake again this year.
Juan Martin Nero stated they did not know about the key stage, as all of them are similar for them. He said, “Those were three spectacular years with the boys, we got on very well, and with terrific results.”
Juan Martin stated that they will try to play in a similar way as he was in Ellerstina. However, it was not a suitable time to reveal strategies as he was also under the opinion that Pilara Piaget will show an impressive game against them and they will complete
their preparations in this regard.
Another player, Pablo MacDonough commented that the team looks very talented in the first shot. However, they will have to show their worth for the club. He further stated that they will have no excuse for not playing with those horses they use in the tournament.
